Port O'brien is doing work. They just got back from their Euro tour where they played in five countries. Nice. And now they're featured in iTunes indie spotlight! And yeah my photo is the icon. Nice.

Briertone (Artist, Arroyo Grande CA)

Briertone's full length album is in its final stages. Due to be released this summer, the underlying theme of the album is AWAKE! Awake from spiritual sleep is the message Adam hopes to instill in all of us. With energetic beats and catchy banjo riffs, backed by motivational lyrics, Briertone will stay in you car stereo, repeat on your iPod, and stuck in your head for weeks. It was a privilege to shoot photos for the new album. Adam and I planned and brained stormed concepts for the album early this year, but wedding plans and life in general put a delay on the album's progress. I excited to not only be apart of Briertone, but Adam's wedding as well. I shot Adam and Brittney's engagement photos early last month. It's really been a pleasure spending time with the guys and Emily of Briertone, along with Adam's beautiful fiancée Brittney.

So I was lurking some blogs tonight, and I found on Port O'Brien's blog, Van posted a screen shot of the iTunes store in Japan. Port O'Brien is the free single of the week. And best of all my picture of them was used as the icon (I guess that's what it is?). Anywho, this made me really happy to see. Good job Port O'Brien! The new album "ALL WE COULD DO WAS SING" is out soon, and is going to be GLORIOUS!!!

Zeb, a singer/songwriter and close friend, came to me a couple weeks ago with this project. He currently plays lead guitar and keys for folk-ish/acoustic Port O'Brien. Van, Cambria, Caleb, Josh, and Zeb make up the current members of this upcoming band. Their songs are influenced by the long fishing voyages Van would embark on in Alaska. Besides working on a music video for their new single, the krew is getting ready for month long tour starting March 1st. Click here to view their tour dates. If your into M. Holding Onto Hope started four years ago when a couple friends got together just to play music. Although the members have changed dramatically throughout the years, the band name has stood the test of time. Matt, Cory (members for Briertone) and Josh are the current faces of Holding onto Hope. The music captures the energy and creativity of a post hardcore generation. Finally after 2 years, Holding onto Hope is releasing an EP late this January. Click here for more details.

Singer, song writer, guitarist, drummer, harmonica-ist, and professionally awesome! Currently front man of Sparrows Gate, and the genius behind the lyrics of ‘lonesome boulevard’, Zeb is working on a solo project that will melt your face! Ladies and Gents: Zebedee Zaitz!

Six people who want to praise and worship God with a unique sound and style. I had the pleasure of getting to snap a few photos of them on a rainy wednesday. As dressed up as they were, they had no problem with standing in the rain and hiking what seemed like a mile through mud and wet grass to get to our shoot location. Thanks for being down with whatever guys!








We headed back to my house to put on some dry cloths and fix the hair. That night Xion was playing a show at their church, and we were a little pressed for time. We decided that my kitchen would make a cozy spot to do a little indoor shooting. It was entertaining to say the least.











And that was that, the shoot went great and Xion was amazing to work with. Thank you guys for making it such a smooth shoot.
