Engaged in LA

How cool is Mike Stog!? He flys all the way from Maryland to surprize his girlfriend with a a couple flowers, a song, and a dimond ring. This took some planning, let me tell you. He kept this a secret from her for close to a month. Everyone was in on it. Mom, Dad, friends, even friends here in Ca. The awesome part was not that nobody said anything, but that everything went according to plan, and she said "YES!" It was a super exciting day for Mike and Cori. It was ment to be in Torrance.

As crazy as things were Mike seemed cool and calm. Not me, I was nervous.

Hiding in the bushes with Jenn and Lisa, we lurked as Mike worked his magic. It was awesome to be apart of some thing so special. A couple of times, while we were waiting for Cori to show up, the plants caught fire because of the candles we set up. So I ran out and stomped it out just in time to escape out of sight. Intense.

Amy & David (Engagements CA)

What a beautiful day in Cambria. I got to to tag along with Amy and David for a truely unique engagement session. They showed me all of their favorite senic spots, the best restarant in town the Main Street Grill, and where to get a orange latte'. The first place we checked out was the venue where their wedding will take place in September. The Cambria Pines Lodge is absoultely amazing, and I took the oppertunity to scope out some cozy photo spots.

I learned what and olallieberry was, and where to get the best ribs in town. Next we ventured towards the Pacific to find an area perfect for wedding portriats. We found it! Can't go wrong at Moonstone beach.

Rainy day with Xion

Xion
Kyle Hoover - Song Writer/Vocals/Rythem Guitar
Nataly Domingues - Song Writer/Vocals
Justin Domingues - Bass
Jared Molina - Electric Guitar
Amy Molina - Vocals
Mikey Rivera - Drums

Listen to them on myspace

Six people who want to praise and worship God with a unique sound and style. I had the pleasure of getting to snap a few photos of them on a rainy wednesday. As dressed up as they were, they had no problem with standing in the rain and hiking what seemed like a mile through mud and wet grass to get to our shoot location. Thanks for being down with whatever guys!

We headed back to my house to put on some dry cloths and fix the hair. That night Xion was playing a show at their church, and we were a little pressed for time. We decided that my kitchen would make a cozy spot to do a little indoor shooting. It was entertaining to say the least.

Read the Leaves

Read the Leaves. New music courtesy of Aaron Boyd. I had the pleasure of shooting a long time friend for his up coming music project. We only had about a half hour to shoot, due to the fact that I'm lame, and have a million things going on at a time.... haha who doesn't? But for only getting to session one spot, I'm happy with the results. Thanks for the quick last minute shoot Aaron. Looking forward to his music. Read the Leaves coming 2007.

We found a cozy spot beside the 101 near Avila, and decide it would make a solid background for a few sibiling shots.

You can always count on Avila having the warmest weather in this area, besides slo of course. There were a few tourist about, but the beach wasn't crowed. Only a few people in the water, maybe because they're gnarly local surfers, or excited tourists who failed to read the shark attack warning posted by the stairs. Either way, we were content just walking on the shore.

Port San Luis is always entertaining. Setting the mood for sea food, we finished the night off at Yagani's. Not a bad day.
